National Committee for Aviation Security and Facilitation established
VGP – Prime Minister Le Minh Hung has decided to establish the National Committee for Aviation Security and Facilitation led by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc.
Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang shall serve as standing Vice Chairman of the Committee.
The Committee is an inter-disciplinary body responsible for assisting the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the handling of major matters related to aviation security and facilitation.
It will study and propose to the Prime Minister policies, mechanisms, and solutions to improve the effectiveness of ensuring aviation security and facilitation, implement international treaties on civil aviation to which Viet Nam is a signatory, as well as standards and recommendations off the International Civil Aviation Organization on aviation security and facilitation.
The Committee will also assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the implementation of the National program on simplification of aviation procedures, reform of administrative procedures, digital transformation, data connectivity and sharing, and improvement of the effectiveness of aviation facilitation.
The Ministry of Public Security shall serve as the standing agency of the National Committee for Aviation Security and Facilitation./.
