More support for flood-hit Central localities

VGP – The Prime Minister has decided to provide VND89.11 billion (nearly US$4 million) from the central budget for the effort to overcome housing damages caused by natural calamity in October 2020 at some localities in the Central region and Central Highlands.

Five provinces will receive the support inducing Nghe An(VND1.26 billion), Ha Tinh (VND8.43 billion), Quang Binh (VND4.89 billion), Quang Nam (VND69.81 billion and Binh Dinh (VND4.72 billion). 

The People’s Committees of these five localities were asked to allocate the sponsor to accurate beneficiaries.

According to the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, localities in the Central region and Central Highlands received VND1.250 billion (more than US$54 million) for handling consequences caused by floods and heavy rains in 2020.
