MOLISA Minister welcomes ALFS delegation

VGP – Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân on Tuesday hosted a reception given to a delegation of the Asia-Pacific Ladies Friendship Society (ALFS) to Việt Nam.

Minister Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân briefed the guests about some achievements in promoting gender equality and reducing poverty in Việt Nam, stressing women’s role in the country’s socio-economic development.

ALFS President Komura Haruko, spouse of former Japanese FM Komura Masahiko, introduced operations of the Society and some outcome of her working visit to Việt Nam.

Also in the reception, Mrs. Komura Haruko gave ¥935,545 (or US $9,500) to the representative of the northern province of Bắc Cạn as a fund to help the province mitigate consequences of natural disasters.
