Ministries asked to develop cultural industries strategy

VGP - The Government Office has issued a notice relating to Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam’s conclusions on a draft strategy on developing cultural industries to 2020 with a vision to 2030.

June 23, 2015 5:44 PM GMT+7
Deputy PM Dam asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) to work with relevant agencies to study and develop policies on boosting the cultural market and developing the country’s cultural industries as authorized or submit suggested policies to authorized agencies while studying and developing a strategy on developing Viet Nam’s cultural industry to 2020 with a vision to 2030.

In studying and developing the strategy, the country’s conditions should be considered to promote its strengths, Deputy PM Dam said.

Sectors which already have development strategies should organize the implementation and suggest amendments and supplements if necessary while other sectors should study and suggest the construction of their development strategies in line with the general strategy on developing Viet Nam’s cultural industries to 2020 with a vision to 2030, the official added.

The MCST was assigned to learn outcomes of studies by the Party Economic Commission on developing Viet Nam’s cultural industries to improve the draft strategy and submit it to the PM by the end of the third quarter of 2015.
