Meta congratulates Viet Nam Government Portal on its 20th anniversary
VGP - Simon Milner, Vice President of Public Policy for Asia Pacific at Meta has congratulated Viet Nam Government Portal (VGP) on its 20th anniversary (January 10, 2025).
In his Congratulatory Letter addressed to Nguyen Hong Sam, VGP Director-General, he wrote:
"On the 20th anniversary of the Viet Nam Government Portal, we extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation for the exemplary partnership between the Portal and Meta.
Since its launch on January 10, 2006, the Portal has become a trusted source of information and a vital link between the Government, citizens, and businesses. Its commitment to innovation has supported Viet Nam's digital transformation, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were privileged to support the Portal in delivering timely, accurate information to the public. Our collaboration helped key messages reach millions and reinforced trust in official communications.
In the post-pandemic period, the Portal's leadership in sharing economic recovery policies further strengthened its role as a benchmark for digital communication.
We commend the Portal's efforts in sharing expertise through workshops and knowledge-sharing initiatives, and its responsible use of social media for the public good.
