Master scheme on Chu Lai Open Economic Zone adjusted

VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a plan to adjust Chu Lai Open Economic Zone in Quang Nam province by 2035 with a vision towards 2050.

Under the planning, the economic zone will be a marine multidisciplinary economic zone and a nucleus for the central economic region. It will develop urban areas, specializing in the automobile industry, garment and textile industry; and others including high-tech, organic farming, tourism center, and exploitation of Chu Lai airport, and Chu Lai-Ky Ha port system. The economic zone will become a hub of transport and international trade in the Central and Highlands Regions; a gateway linking the East Sea with Cambodia and Thailand. 

By 2025, the economic zone will have about 3,000 hectares of industrial site; 5,000 hectares of urban and tourism areas. By 2035, industrial site will cover 5,010 hectares and urban and tourism sites will have 7,000 hectares./.
