Master plan on industrial explosive materials issued

VGP – The PM has recently ratified the master plan on Viet Nam’s industrial explosive materials by 2020 with a vision towards 2030 in which the sector will be developed in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly manner.

The master scheme targets to meet demands for traditionally industrial explosive materials and modern ones which will be used for heavy industries and special fields.

Under the new master plan, TNT explosive materials are not encouraged for further development. Accordingly, TNT production chains will not be expanded. By 2020, TNT dynamite will account for less than 3% of domestic consumption.

The master plan also set a target to produce Hecxozen cordite by 2016 and TEN by 2020./.
