Manpower export in 2025 exceeds preset goal
VGP - As many as 144,345 Vietnamese people travelled to work abroad in 2025, exceeding the whole year's target by 11%, reported the Department of Overseas Labor Management, under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

During the year, Japan continued to be the top destination, receiving more than 64,600 Vietnamese workers, followed by Taiwan with over 57,000 workers and South Korea with more than 11,600 workers.
Notably, alongside traditional markets, several European markets such as Germany, Poland, Hungary, and Romania recorded a upward trend, particularly in the fields of nursing, caregiving, and technical labor, signaling gradual shift toward markets with higher requirements for skills and qualifications.
A number of memoranda of understanding on labor cooperation with foreign countries and partners were signed or extended during the year, creating a stable legal framework for manpower export in the coming period.
Building on these results, the Ministry of Home Affairs has set a target of sending approximately 112,000 Vietnamese to work overseas in 2026, with a focus on high-income and stable markets./.
