On multilateral aspect, Prime Minister Pham's participation in the BRICS Summit aims to deploy the foreign policy of indepedence, self-reliance, diversification and multilateralization of external relations.

During the summit, Pham conveyed a strong message about promoting multilateral cooperation and affirmed the role of developing countries in global governance system.

He put forward measures for developing countries to protect public health and the environment, mitigate climate change impacts, and improve capacity to deal with epidemics.

Pham also called for reforming global financial institutions, promoting South-South economic connectivity to ensure fair access to financial and technological resources for developing countries.

On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Pham met with leaders of the BRICS member countries and major international organizations in a bid to further deepen cooperation with these countries and organizations, thus contributing to peace, stability and prosperity across the world.

On bilateral aspect, the tour has helped deepen political relations and multi-faceted cooperation with Brazil, especially in the context of Brazil's increasingly high role in the region and the world.

Both sides agreed on major orientations to advance the relations between the two countries, particularly in the fields of economy, trade and investment.

Brazil is Viet Nam's largest trading partner in Latin America, with the two-way trade soaring from US$1.5 billion in 2011 to nearly US$8 billion, accounting for around 35 percent of Viet Nam's total trade volume with Latin America.

On the occasion, Brazillian President Lula da Silva affirmed his support for prompt conclusion of negotiations on a free trade agreement between Viet Nam and MERCOSUR in 2025 and another free trade deal between Viet Nam and Brazil.

Both sides expressed special attention to agricultural cooperation, vowing to further create favorable conditions for people of the two countries and the two regions to access and use their quality agricultural products.

Both sides agreed to boost cooperation in coffee industry and formulation of a coffee production and export alliance towards building a common coffee brand and enhancing the culture of enjoying coffee associated with the cultures of the two nations.

During the visit, both sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, and cooperation agreements worth hundreds of milion of dollar./.
