Final rehearsal for 80th National Day parade
VGP - The full-dress rehearsal for the 80th National Day parade is now underway in Ba Dinh Square, featuring the participation of marching soldiers from Lao, Cambodia, China and Russia
About two hours before the rehearsal, parade groups entered Ba Dinh Square one by one to practise in rain.
The final rehearsal is set to begin at 6:30 am in cool weather conditions.
War veterans from the northern province of Hung Yen are sitting in Dinh Tien Hoang Street near Hoan Kiem lake to wait for the marching soldiers
Dignitaries to the rehearsal include Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang, and Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang.
