Leaders congratulate U.S. President-elect Biden

VGP – Party General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Monday extended congratulations to H.E. Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. upon his election as President of the U.S.

Both Trong and Phuc expressed their belief that the Viet Nam-U.S. comprehensive partnership will continue thriving in an effective and sustainable manner, bringing about benefits to the two peoples and to peace, security, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The same day, Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh also cabled a message of congratulations to U.S. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

The Vietnamese leaders took the occasion to invite President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris to visit Viet Nam soon./.
