Laos-Viet Nam Friendship Hospital inaugurated

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said advancing the Viet Nam–Laos relationship is one of the strategic tasks that is vital to the security and development of both countries.
The project, with a scale of 200 beds and modern equipment, has a total investment of over VND500 billion (US$19 million). It is funded by non-refundable aid from the Government of Viet Nam to the Government of Laos, with the goal of constructing a provincial-level general hospital that fully meets the healthcare needs of the local population.
The project is expected to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people of Houaphanh Province and the northern provinces of Laos, noted the official.
Nguyen expressed his belief that the Laos–Viet Nam Friendship Hospital will become a model of cooperation between the two countries, contributing to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, the two States, and the peoples of both countries./.
