Hence, in 2020, the ministry aims to send 130,000 workers abroad especially to high-income markets.
Besides traditional markets such as Japan, the RoK, and Taiwan, the Overseas Labor Department is developing new labor export markets in Europe including Bulgaria, Hungary, and Germany.
Director of Overseas Labor Department Tong Hai Nam assessed that due to high rates of urbanization and aging populations, a large number of European countries are suffering a labor shortage. Hence, some European countries are considering importing laborers from Viet Nam.
Mr. Nam added that in 2020, the MOLISA would sign labor contracts with Germany which is expected as a gateway for Viet Nam to send workers to Europe.
Besides Germany, in 2019, Romania emerged as a new market for Vietnamese guest workers by employing 3,400.
In addition, other European markets hoped to shake hands with Viet Nam including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland./.
