Koreans keen to visit Viet Nam in 2024 summer
VGP - The number of hotel bookings from Korean travelers to Viet Nam increased 3 times in comparison with the same period last year, according to South Korea's Booking platform Yeogi Eottae.
Yeogi Eottae reported that there is a surge in hotel bookings from Korean tourists to Viet Nam during this year's peak summer tourist season from June to August.
A of late April, the number of hotel bookings in Viet Nam and the Philippines is leading in the region. The Southeast Asian countries are emerging as popular tourist destinations of Koreans in 2024 summer.
Specifically, Ha Noi led the trend index ranking among Vietnamese favorite tourist destinations by the end of April released by Rankify Korea with 1,788 points.
It was followed by Da Lat and Ha Long Bay with 1,379 points and 796 points, respectively.
Earlier, in the first 11 months of 2023, more than 7.3 million tourists from South Korea visited Viet Nam, an increase of 220 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Viet Nam ranks second in the list of most preferred travel destinations for South Korea after Japan thanks to convenient flights and cool weather.
The new visa policy extends visa-free stay from 15 to 45 days for those from 13 countries, and permits people from other 12 countries to enjoy 14-90 day visa exemption./.
