Khen festival in Dong Van
VGP - The first H’mong Khen (panpipe) festival will be held from January 30 to February 12 in Sapa, Lao Cai province.

The festival brings together the 12 best flute teams in the northwestern region.
The panpipe is a musical instrument played by ethnic minority people in northern mountainous provinces like Lao Cai and Ha Giang.
It is a wind instrument made from six to twelve or fourteen small bamboo pipes tied together and connected to a wooden sound box.
This instrument is very popular with a number of ethnic groups in Viet Nam, such as the Thai, the Muong and the H'Mong.
