Khanh Hoa welcomes first direct flight from Kazakhstan
VGP - The first direct flight with 376 international passengers on board from Almaty city of Kazakhstan landed at Cam Ranh Airport in Viet Nam's central province of Khanh Hoa.

On October 26, Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism coordinated with Anex Viet Nam Co., Ltd and Vietjet Air to hold a ceremony to welcome the first flight from Almaty (Kazakhstan) to Khanh Hoa.
The Almaty-Cam Ranh (Khanh Hoa) route is operated with two flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Le Huu Hoang, said that the province's tourism industry had stepped up promotion to revive the international tourist market and attract tourists from new markets, including Kazakhstan.
Expanding the tourist market of Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries will contribute to diversifying the source of international visitors towards sustainable tourism development, said Le.
In 2022, Khanh Hoa tourism has recovered strongly, and the number of domestic tourists has been equal to the time before the COVID-19 epidemic.
However, the number of international visitors to Khanh Hoa is still relatively low because many traditional tourist markets, such as China or Russia, have not yet recovered.
According to the representative of Anex Viet Nam Co., Ltd, Kazakh tourists to Khanh Hoa will spend 7 to 28 days at hotels and resorts in Nha Trang and Bai Dai (Cam Lam district).
Anex Viet Nam Co., Ltd also established a hotline to support tourists with service providers and authorities in the province to handle cases related to security and safety for visitors promptly./.
