The exhibition will display art works of 35 artists who are still trying to preserve traditional crafts in seven major traditional kiln sites in Japan.

They have different orientations, such as carrying on the long tradition of pottery production, pursuing ever-richer standards in their craft, creating an individual work, and exploring new designs.

The theme of the exhibition focuses on "vessels", endeavouring to show how ceramic artists understand the function of vessels.

Through the works, visitors will learn more about the present situation and the future development trend of Japanese traditional pottery.

The display is organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Viet Nam, in cooperation with the Consulate General of Japan in HCM City and runs until October 30.
