At the ministry's regular press conference held on Thursday, Pham said, many localities in Viet Nam have suffered historic rains, floods, and consecutive natural disasters, causing severe damage to both lives and property.

In response to these heavy losses, Viet Nam has received financial aid, essential supplies, and equipment from the international community, foreign countries, and international organizations, estimated at nearly US$16 million to date.

These resources will be distributed directly by Vietnamese authorities to the affected areas and delivered to the hands of the people impacted.

The Government and people of Viet Nam are deeply grateful for this timely, practical, and precious assistance, underlined Pham.

Severe natural disasters have left 409 people dead or missing and 727 injuries, with total economic losses of over VND85.099 trillion (US$3.226 billion) so far this year./.
