All the imported kits will be used to test 37,000 people who have been kept at centralized quarantine facilities and tens of thousands of others who have self-isolated at home visited Bach Mai Hospital since March 12, Long added.

Earlier, the Ministry of Health allowed mass production of RT-PCR bio-kits jointly developed by  the Military Medical Academy in collaboration with Viet A Technology Joint Stock Company. The kits have been put into circulation since March 4.

Long affirmed Viet Nam has enough test kits to further expand test coverage for early detection, isolation and containment of the diseases./.
