Health ministry confirms 10,223 new COVID-19 cases

VGP – The Ministry of Health confirmed 10,223 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, raising the national patient tally to 1,065,469.

The national caseload includes 1,060,394 locally transmitted cases recorded since April 27 when the fourth COVID-19 wave began.

The same day, the ministry reported 6,723 recoveries, taking the total number of recovered cases to 881,593. Among the current positive cases, 4,489 are in critical conditions.

The ministry also announced further 139 fatalities in Ho Chi Minh City (42), An Giang (22), Kien Giang (16), Binh Duong (14), Dong Nai (7), Long An (6), Bac Lieu (5), Tien Giang (5), Nghe An (3), Tra Vinh (3), Tay Ninh (3), Vinh Long (3), Binh Thuan (2), Can Tho (2), Ben Tre (2), Soc Trang (2), Ninh Thuan (1), and Ba Ria – Vung Tau (1), bringing the nation’s death toll to 23,476.

The nation has administered 103,573,065 COVID-19 vaccine doses, an increase of 1,464,452 doses from Wednesday./.
