HCM City marks India’s 72nd Independence Day
VGP – The Viet Nam-India Friendship Association (VIFA)’s Chapter in Ho Chi Minh City and the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organisations (HUFO) held a ceremony on August 14, to mark the 72nd Independence Day of India.

He stressed that the HUFO and VIFA have coordinated with the Consulate General of India to successfully organise activities in the "Viet Nam - India Year of Friendship 2017".
For his part, Srikar Reddy, Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, affirmed that the India-Viet Nam relationship, nurtured and developed by generations of Indian and Vietnamese leaders, have flourished on the foundation of mutual trust and understanding on different issues in the region and the world.
He noted that the India-Vietnam partnership has seen positive progress in all fields such as politics, trade, investment, tourism, culture and education, thereby benefiting the people of both countries.
On this occasion, Srikar Reddy expressed his gratitude and wish to continue receiving cooperation and support from the HUFO and the VIFA in implementing the cooperation activities in order to promote the bilateral relations between the two sides in the coming times.
