Ha Noi to have new Mayor
VGP – Mr. Tran Sy Thanh has been assigned to hold the post of Deputy Secretary of the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee for the 2020-2025 tenure, according to the Politburo's decision announced on July 15.

On behalf of the Politburo, Vo Van Thuong, standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat, handed over the decision to Tran on the day.
In his remarks, Vo said the Politburo believed that Tran, with his experience and knowledge, will make tireless efforts to complete his tasks to earn the trust and expectations of the people.
For his part, Tran, who is a member of the Party Central Committee, said he is well aware of his tasks and pledged to work hard to fulfill them.
Tran, born in 1971 in the central province of Nghe An, served as Auditor General of the State Audit of Viet Nam before being promoted to the new role.
The Politburo's decision paved the way for the Municipal People's Council to elect Tran as new Chairman of the Municipal People's Committee./.
