Hà Nội Opera House – a century-long beauty

VGP - A book, “Hà Nội Opera House - a Century-long Beauty”, will be introduced to the public by the Publishing House of the Writers’ Association to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Hà Nội Opera House.

The 500-page book, compilled by many cultural experts, includes 400 pages of texts featuring  100 memorable moments of the Hà Nội Opera House during its 100 years of existence and development.

The general view on the Hà Nội Opera House’s history of formation and development will be illustrated via its architecture, historical witnesses, and opera play performances.

The Hà Nội Opera House is a smaller version of the Opéra Garnier in Paris, France.

Construction of the Hà Nội Opera House, designed by two French architects, Broyer and Harlay, started on June 7th, 1901 and completed in 1911. 

The Hà Nội Opera House, one of the most famous and obvious cultural centers in Hà Nội, is located on a land area of 2,600 square meters.

The Hà Nội Opera House is a globally cultural address and a place where opera, musical compositions and singers are honored.
