Ha Noi Convention - Vivid symbol of solidarity, int’l cooperation

The Deputy Prime Minister said, the presence of all delegates not only shows great significance to Viet Nam's most important international legal and diplomatic event of this year, but also stands as clear testament of the international community's shared commitment to addressing cybercrime, the most pressing global challenges.
The adoption of the Convention affirms the importance and immense value of the UN, multilateralism, and international law, he noted.
It is also a vivid expression of solidarity and the principle of international cooperation based on respect for the sovereign equality of all nations and the protection of human rights, he noted.
The official expressed his deep gratitude for the valuable support of other countries and the UN, which enabled Viet Nam to take on this important responsibility.
As an active and responsible member of the international community, Viet Nam has consistently contributed proactively to the UN' common efforts for peace and development, said Bui.
He expressed belief that the remaining countries will soon sign and ratify the Convention, allowing it to take effect and establish a solid legal framework for joint efforts to safeguard the global cyberspace.
He called on the delegates to actively participate in the upcoming sessions and events, sharing experiences, ideas, and innovative solutions to translate the Convention into concrete actions, helping to build a safe, healthy, and sustainable cyberspace for present and future generations./.
