Ha Noi, Cairo sign friendship and cooperation agreement
VGP - Leaders of the two capital cities of Ha Noi and Cairo on July 27 signed Friendship and Cooperation Agreement under the witness of Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang who is on his official visit to Egypt.

The agreement, signed by Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel A'al, aims to promote the relations and mutual understanding between the two cities in culture, sciences, education, health care, tourism, sports, environment, and trade.
The signing occurred at a meaningful and vital time as Viet Nam and Egypt celebrated the 60th anniversary of establishing their diplomatic relations (1963-2023).
Vice Chairman Nguyen Manh Quyen said the agreement not only marked the trust in bilateral political cooperation but also opened up many new cooperation opportunities for both sides.
He expressed the belief that it would contribute to the prosperity of the two capitals and strengthen the traditional friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Egypt.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ha Noi and Cairo agreed to promote cooperation in the fields of culture, art, science, and technology through delegation exchanges, exhibitions, conferences, and seminars.
Additionally, the two cities promote cooperation in education through delegation and people-to-people exchanges to enhance understanding of each other's culture and history.
Besides, they strengthen medical and pharmaceutical cooperation by exchanging delegations, sharing experiences, researching, and participating in conferences in the two cities.
The two sides also agreed to enhance trade cooperation through exchanging delegations and sharing experiences between chambers of commerce and enterprises./.
