This is part of the Government's major solutions to realize the socio-economic development plan for 2023.

The Government will focus on containing the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening the capacity of institutional building as well as the effectiveness of law enforcement.

The Cabinet will also step up administration reform in association with the development of e-Government, improve business environment and national competitiveness, and increase the resilience of the economy.

It will also focus on accelerating the progress of key transport projects that help strengthen region-to-region connectivity, improving the quality of the workforce,

In 2022, Viet Nam successfully weathered the COVID-19 crisis and overcame global challenges to write its own success story in 2022, with GDP growth accelerating to at 8.03 percent and inflation controlled at 3.15 percent.

Foreign direct investment inflows neared US$27.72 billion, equivalent to 89 percent of the previous year's figure. However, the disbursed FDI capital rose by 13.5 percent year on year to around US$22.4 billion.

Viet Nam's public debt-to-GDP ratio was 43 percent, which is relatively low and so this has made Viet Nam stable compared to many other countries.
