Gov’t sets up working group to resolve property woes

VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has recently signed a decision to formulate a multidisciplinary working group to assist businesses and localities in resolving troubling real estate projects.

The working ghroup will be led by Construction Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi who is assisted by Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh and Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam Dao Minh Tu.]

Members of the working group include Deputy Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Vice Chairman of the Government Office Nguyen Cao Luc, Deputy Finance Minister Nguyen Duc Chi, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Minh Ngan, and Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc.

The real estate sector contributes 11 percent to Viet Nam’s GDP. It also has organic relationships with other fields and generate many jobs.

However, the sector has stagnated recently in the face of several challenges that have caused many projects to be delayed./.
