Gov't decides length of public holidays in 2023
VGP – The Government on Thursday decided that the upcoming lunar New Year holiday will last seven days, from January 20 to January 26.
This means that laborers can leave work two days before the New Year starts on January 22.
Lunar New Year holiday, or Tet in Vietnamese, is the longest and biggest holiday in Viet Nam as it is an important occasion of family reunions.
The same day, the Government also announced that laborers can take four days off on the occasion of the Independence Day (September 2), from September 1-4./.
