Gov’t chief sets up eight working groups to spur public investment disbursement
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has decided to set up eight working groups aimed at accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital and growth.

These groups are responsible for putting forward solutions to remove bottlenecks in disbursement of public investment capital.
The first working group, led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, shall monitor disbursement of public investment capital in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Can Tho.
The second working group, headed by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, shall oversee central ministries and agencies: National Assembly Office, Government Office, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government Inspectorate, and Viet Nam Cooperative Alliance; as well as the localities: Hue City, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, and Bac Ninh.
The third working group, led by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, shall supervise central ministries and agencies: Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Ministry of Construction, Office of the Party Central Committee, Office of the President, and Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee (including the Viet Nam Farmers' Union, the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor, the Viet Nam Women's Union, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union), Viet Nam National University Ha Noi, and Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City; and localities: An Giang, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, and Vinh Long.
The fourth working group, led by Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, shall oversee: Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Health, National Committee of the Union of Viet Nam Literature and Arts Associations, Viet Nam Journalists Association, Viet Nam Writers' Association, and Viet Nam Lawyers Association; and the localities: Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong.
The fifth working group, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, shall monitor: Ministry of Finance, State Bank of Viet Nam, Viet Nam Development Bank, Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies, and State Audit Office of Viet Nam, and the localities: Dong Nai, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, and Hai Phong City.
The sixth working group, led by Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son, shall oversee: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Viet Nam Electricity (EVN), and localities: Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, and Phu Tho.
The seventh working group, led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, shall be in charge of Ministry of Science and Technology, Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology, Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences, and Viet Nam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the localities: Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Tri.
The eighth working group, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, shall monitor: Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Viet Nam News Agency, Voice of Viet Nam, and Viet Nam Television; and localities: Tay Ninh, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, and Lao Cai.
Total public investment capital for 2025 is estimated at over VND923 trillion (US$35.3 billion). As of June 30, VND 268.13 trillion had been disbursed, equivalent to 29.6 percent of this year's plan./.
