Gov’t chief asks youths to lead in digital transformation
VGP - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called upon the youth to take the lead in the nation’s digital transformation.
Pham made during his dialogue with young representatives in Ha Noi on March 26.
Digital transformation, green economy, circular economy, sharing economy and intellectual economy, among others, are new driving forces for the country to deliver on its set target of becoming a developing country with a modern industry and upper middle income by 2030, and a developed, high-income nation by 2045.
The Government leader urged the youth to uphold their pioneering spirit to raise public awareness of digital transformation, put foward policies on digitalization, promote administrative reform through digital technologies, and bolster research and development activities in the area.
The youth was urged to uphold aspirations to make contributions to the national development, to study, to undertake innovation, to engage in entrepreneurship and integration, and to work towards higher achievements.
The Prime Minister asked them to support the Government in speeding up the development of a digital government, a digital economy, a digital society, and digital citizens.
He ordered competent ministries, authorities and localities to drastically carry out the National Digital Transformation Program, complete mechanisms and policies, and create a favorable environment for the youth to promote their pioneering role in the process.
The event took place on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931-2024).
Under the theme “Promoting the pioneering role of the youth in national digital transformation”, the event honored outstanding young people for their contributions to socio-economic development, and national defense and construction./.
