Gov't approves Tra Vinh provincial master plan

VGP - Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed a decision approving the master plan of the Mekong delta province of Tra Vinh for the 2021-2030 period, vision towards 2050.

The overall goal of the plan is to develop Tra Vinh into one of the top Mekong delta localities in terms of development level by the end of this decade with the annual average GDP growth rate of around 11.5 percent and the GRDP per capita of VND148 million.

Tra Vinh targets to raise the share of agriculture, forestry and fisheries to about 17.98 percent of its GDP, industry and construction to 46.14 percent, and service to 33 percent by 2030.

Regarding social aspect, Tra Vinh expects to raise the ratio of trained labor to 75 percent and labor productivity by 11.65 percent per year.

The southern province also aims to reduce multi-dimensional poverty by 1-1.5 percent annually.

By 2050, Tra Vinh is expected to become a role model of clean energy in the Mekong delta region, according to the master plan./.
