Gov’t approves 4-day break for 2026 New Year holiday
VGP - The Government has decided that the upcoming New Year holiday shall last four days, from January 1 to 4.

This means that civil servants and public employees shall be entitled for a four-day break, from Thursday, January 1 to Sunday, January 4.
Earlier, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh approved a nine-day break for the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, running from Saturday, February 14, 2026 (the 27th day of the last lunar month) to Sunday, February 22, 2026 (the sixth day of the first lunar month).
