GM Daewoo to make environmentally friendly cars in VN

VGP - Mr. Michele Arcamone, President and CEO of the automobile group GM Daewoo, said the firm will intensify investment to expand production and trade of automobiles, especially environmentally friendly vehicles, in Việt Nam in the coming time.

At the meeting with Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải on April 16, Mr. Arcamone outlined GM Daewoo’s plans on expanding its factory in Việt Nam and developing vehicles that use high technology, consume less fuel and are environmentally friendly.

GM Daewoo also plans to produce and assemble automobiles in Việt Nam to export to the third countries, he said.

Mr. Hải underlined the Government’s determination in simplifying procedures and increasing investment in infrastructure construction in order to create more and more favorable conditions for GM Daewoo and other foreign carmakers to invest and expand operations here.
