Gift show gets underway

VGP – The 2017 Ha Noi Gift Show is taking place in Ha Noi, providing a good opportunity to promote the export of handicrafts and ethnic items.

The event attracted the participation of over 250 businesses from 30 cities and provinces from across the country, such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ben Tre, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An, as well as five foreign countries, namely China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India and Nepal.

With more than 650 booths, the event showcases five major product groups, including home decor and handicrafts; indoor and outdoor furniture; home textiles and embroidery; personal accessories; gifts and cultural products.

The event shows efforts and commitments Ha Noi has made to building a government of facilitation and to providing support for local businesses and trade villages, according to the Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee.

The four-day event is expected to receive around 600 potential   importers from various countries and territories around the world, including the U.S., the European Union, Japan, Russia.

The event provided domestic exhibitors the opportunity to promote their handicraft products to international consumers and to boost export sales of such products and craft villages' development.

The Ha Noi gift show will run through October 20.
