He is accompanied by Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Organization Commission; Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Commission for Home Affairs; Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission; Do Van Chien, Politburo member, President of the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, acting Minister of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Chi Dung, Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Pham Gia Tuc, Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Office; Chan Duc Thang, acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment; To An Xo, Assistant to the General Secretary; and Le Ba Vinh, Vietnamese Ambassador to the DPRK.

This is the first visit by a Vietnamese Party leader to the DPRK over the last 18 years, reflecting the fact that the two Parties and the two States give high regard to their traditional friendly relations./.
