To congratulated Parmelin upon his re-election as the President of Switzerland, affirming that Viet Nam always attaches importance to the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation with Switzerland. He expressed his wish that the two countries would continue close collaboration to effectively implement and deepen the comprehensive partnership established in January 2025.

The General Secretary and President affirmed that Viet Nam views Switzerland as a top partner in Europe, calling on Switzerland to continue accompanying Viet Nam in its new development era.

President Parmelin congratulated General Secretary To Lam upon his election as President of Viet Nam, reassuring that Switzerland always treasures and wishes to further strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam in the new development period.

Given the current volatile global landscape, the two leaders underscored the need for the two countries to further enhance dialogue, consolidate political trust, and deepen their multi-faceted cooperation.

Both sides agreed to bolster political trust through regular exchange of delegations and contacts across all channels and levels; effectively realize the content of Viet Nam-Switzerland comprehensive partnership; create breakthroughs in trade and investment cooperation matching the two countries' potential and positions.

Both sides also agreed to transform science and technology into a new pillar of bilateral ties, giving priority to joint research projects on agriculture, biotechnology, green energy, and digital economy.

The two leaders concurred that security and defense cooperation should be a key content of the two countries' relationship.

They underlined the importance of enhancing exchanges in a bid to soon conclude talks and sign the free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the European Free Trade Area (EFTA) in order to inject new momentum to bilateral economic, trade and investment linkages.

To pledged that Viet Nam stands ready to discuss with the Swiss side and other partners on intellectual property issue in line with international trade regulations. He also suggested Switzerland share experience and assist Viet Nam in developing international financial centers, fintech, digital finance, blockchain, digital assets.

The top Vietnamese Party and State leader urged Switzerland to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese community to integrate into the host society, thereby contributing to advancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

On multilateral cooperation, the two leaders agreed to foster coordination at international forums and within the United Nations to contribute to the resolution of international issues of shared interest on the basis of respect for international law, for peace, stability and prosperous development around the world.
