Party Central Committee elects new members to Politburo, Secretariat
VGP – Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang was elected to the Politburo at the meeting of 13th Party Central Committee held on Friday.

Current members of the Politburo are: General Secretary, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu, Head of the Central Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac, Director of Ho Chi Minh National Politics Academy Nguyen Xuan Thang, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Information and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Ha Noi Municipal Party Committee Bui Thi Minh Hoai, President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh.
The same day, the Party Central Committee also elected three members to the Secretariat: Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy Le Minh Tri, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Viet Nam People's Army Trinh Van Quyet.
