Four new members elected to Central Inspection Commission
VGP - Four new members have been elected to the Central Inspection Commission, according to an announcement released following the first working day of the 13th plenum of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam.

The newly-elected members are: Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Secretary of the Hung Yen provincial Party Committee; Major General Tran Van Phuc, Director of the Police Department of Quang Ninh province; Trinh The Binh, assistant to the Politburo member and standing member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat; and Tran Quoc Binh, Director-General at the Central Inspection Commission.
With the four new faces, the Central Inspection Commission has 24 members led by Politburo member and Chairman Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
The same day, Do Trong Hung, former Vice Chairman of the Central Organization Commission, former Secretary of the Thanh Hoa provincial Party Committee, and former Chairman of the Thanh Hoa provincial People's Council was expelled from the Party for violating the regulations of the Party and State.
The 13th Central Committee also scrutinized the list of candidates nominated for the posts of Secretary-General of the National Assembly cum Chairman of the Office of the National Assembly; Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for Science, Technology and Environment; standing members of the National Assembly Standing Committee; Deputy Prime Ministers; Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Minister of Home Affairs.
The Central Committee discussed the list of candidates nominated for election to the 14th Central Committee and to the 14th Central Inspection Commission.
The participants to the 13th plenum deliberated on the draft political report, the election regulations at the 14th National Party Congress, the report on 15-year implementation of the Party regulations, the agenda of the 14th National Party Congress, and the report on Viet Nam's 40-year renewal process./.
