Four localities shut down schools to overcome Yagi storm consequences

VGP – At least four localites in Northern Viet Nam have decided to shut down schools over next two days to focus on overcoming the devastating consequences of superstorm Yagi.

These localities are Hai Phong port city and three mountainous provinces of Dien Bien, Son La and Hoa Binh.

The Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong on Sunday announced temporary closure of schools on September 9 until next announcement.

The Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien on Sunday announced that schools shall be closed on September 9 and September 10.

The Department of Education and Training of Son La on Sunday announced that schools will be shut down on September 9 and September 10.

School will remain closed on September 9 in Hoa Binh province.

Superstorm Yagi has killed at least 14 people and injured 176 others after it reached Viet Nam's northern coastline on Saturday afternoon./.
