Former President of VFF Central Committee elected Vice Chairman of National Assembly

VGP – Legislators on Monday elected Do Van Chien, Politburo member, former President of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee as Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly Do Van Chien

Do, aged 63, is a native of the northern province of Tuyen Quang. 

He served as Chairman of the Tuyen Quang Provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs (now renamed as Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs), Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs.

The National Assembly is currently led by Politburo member, Chairman Tran Thanh Man who is assisted by Do Van Chien, Nguyen Duc Hai, Nguyen Khac Dinh, Chan Quang Phuong, Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vu Hong Thanh, and Le Minh Hoan as Vice Chairpersons./.
