The ECHO and the Germany Red Cross Society have given over 696,000 euro to the project, which has also received assistance from the France Red Cross Society and the Netherlands Red Cross Society.

The project has been implemented since January in 20 communes in six districts in the two provinces of Hà Tĩnh and Quảng Bình.

Over 11,000 households have been supplied with more than 102 tons of rice seeds and 482 tons of fertilizers; 2,944 families with cash (VND0.6 - 1 million per household); 300 households with cows.

The project has also provided water filters to 4,000 households, installed 200 water tanks at schools, medical stations, cultural houses and People’s Committee buildings in 20 communes.
