Flights between Viet Nam and Hong Kong suspended due to super typhoon Ragasa
VGP - A number of flights between Viet Nam’s cities and Hong Kong and Macau (China) have been canceled to avoid the impact of super typhoon Ragasa.

Specifically, the national flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines suspended flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Hong Kong on September 23.
The airline also adjusted flight routes between Viet Nam and Northeast Asia to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members.
Budget carrier Vietjet Air also canceled two flights on the Da Nang–Macau route and two flights on the Ho Chi Minh City–Hong Kong route on September 23.
Viet Nam Airlines operates one round-trip flight per day from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong and one round-trip flight from Ha Noi to Hong Kong. Vietjet Air operates one round-trip flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hong Kong.
Airlines advised passengers to keep their seatbelts fastened throughout the flights, especially in complex weather conditions, to minimize risks in case of turbulence.
According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, this afternoon the super typhoon was located in the northern East Sea, with maximum sustained winds of 221 kilometers per hour, equivalent to level 17, with gusts above level 17. The storm is moving west-northwest at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour.
By tomorrow morning, the super typhoon will still be in the northern East Sea, about 400 km east of the Leizhou Peninsula, with winds decreasing to level 15–16, gusting above level 17. It will continue west-northwest, speeding up to 20–25 kilometers per hour.
By 7 a.m. on September 25, the storm will be located south of Guangdong Province (China), about 180 km east of Quang Ninh, with winds dropping to level 11–12, gusting to level 14. The storm is then forecast to veer slightly southward, make landfall in northern Viet Nam on the afternoon of September 25 with winds at level 8–9, and continue to weaken in the upcoming hours./.
