Professor Nguyen Dinh Duc at the University of Engineering and Technology under Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi, honored in the Asian Scientist 100 list for 2026

Launched in 2016, the Asian Scientist 100 is considered one of the region's most prestigious recognition lists for researchers with exceptional achievements in Asia.

Individuals selected for the list must demonstrate significant scientific accomplishments, important discoveries, or recognition through valuable national and international academic and scientific awards.

Professor Nguyen Dinh Duc at the University of Engineering and Technology under Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi, received the 2024 Bao Son Award for his research in advanced composite materials and structures, including three-phase and functionally graded composites, advancing high-performance materials with applications in aerospace, engineering and modern industrial technologies.

Professor Tran Xuan Bach, lecturer at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy under the Viet Nam National University, Ha Noi, won the 2025 Global Health Innovation Leadership Award from the Consortium of Universities for Global Health for pioneering cost-effective, scalable health system models that strengthen public health systems in low- and middle-income countries.

Professor Nguyen Minh Tan at Ha Noi University of Science and Technology received the 2024 Kovalevskaya Award for her research on natural compounds and bioactive substances, advancing pharmaceutical applications while enhancing the value and sustainable development of Vietnamese agricultural products.

Professor Dang Thi My Dung at Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City received the 2024 Kovalevskaia Award for her pioneering work in nanotechnology and nano-inkjet printing, advancing applications in microelectronics, environmental monitoring and biosensing.

Her research has helped develop conductive nano-inks and sensors with practical applications, while contributing to technology transfer and innovation in Viet Nam's manufacturing sector.

Doctor Truong Hai Bang at Van Lang University won the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award for his notable contributions to the field of environmental technology, including his in-depth research into the complex degradation mechanisms of organic compounds in water.

With five scientists included in the ranking, it reflects the increasingly prominent presence of Vietnamese researchers within the regional scientific community./.
