First Vietnamese cars to be introduced soon

VGP – The 100% domestically-funded car producer Vinaxuki plans to introduce its first two models of tourist cars to the public at the end of this year.

Mr. Bùi Ngọc Huyên, General Director of Vinaxuki, and his tourist car model

These two models are wholly designed and manufactured by Vietnamese engineers with the technical assistance from Japanese experts. The high-class cars will be sold at competitive prices which are affordable for Vietnamese consumers.

The introduction of the tourist cars will mark a new milestone in developing a domestic car industry which has been long considered an impossible mission, said related specialists.

Vinaxuki General Director Bùi Ngọc Huyên believed that the Vietnamese are creative and capable enough to produce their own cars, provided that they are determined and compassionate enough, well-backed by the State’s policies and foreign partners’ modern technical support.

Vinaxuki has spent considerable resources on methodical investment, particularly in staff training, designing and production of key spare-parts.

By 2016, Vinaxuki targets to raise the domestic proportion to at least 70-80% for its 15 automobile models.

The company is building its training and designing facilities and three factories in Hà Nội, Thanh Hóa, and Thái Nguyên to expand its capacity.

Mr. Huyên is also ambitious to bring the Vietnamese cars to the world market, firstly ASEAN member countries.
