First batch of made-in Viet Nam African swine fever vaccine shipped to Indonesia
VGP - Viet Nam shipped the first batch of 120,000 doses of the AVAC ASF Live African swine fever vaccine to Indonesia on June 9, making it the third country to import the vaccine from Viet Nam, following the Philippines and Nigeria.

To date, the AVAC Viet Nam JSC has supplied nearly 4 million doses of AVAC ASF LIVE vaccine to the market. Of these, approximately 3 million have been administered in Viet Nam, at such localities as Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Quang Ngai and Tra Vinh.
The vaccine has been exported to the Philippines and Nigeria with over 500,000 doses and has received positive feedback from both markets. The shipment of 120,000 doses was officially exported to Indonesia on June 9, 2025.
AVAC ASF LIVE is the world's first commercially available live attenuated vaccine against African swine fever.
