Export tax on gold jewellery reduced to zero
VGP - Export tax on gold jewellery products shall be reduced from one percent to zero percent, applicable from October 10, according to the Government's Decree No. 260/2025/ND-CP.

The above move aims to lower production costs, enhance the competitiveness of domestic manufacturers, and encourage the conversion of gold held by the public into higher-value products amid limited local supply and rising global prices, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Last year, Viet Nam's exports of gold jewellery and fine-art products under four HS codes (7113.19.10, 7113.19.90, 7114.19.00, and 7115.90.10) reached about US$332.2 million, down 4.95 percent from 2023./.
