Exhibition affirms VN’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa

VGP - An exhibition displaying nearly 300 photos, documents and artefacts proving Viet Nam’s indisputable sovereignty over Hoang Sa archipelago opened in the central city of Da Nang on January 9.

January 09, 2014 5:49 PM GMT+7

The exhibits collected by domestic and foreign researchers, scholars and organisations show clearly that Viet Nam has exercised sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa since the 17 th century in a peaceful and continuous manner aligned with international law.

Many documents and maps on show proving Viet Nam’s ownership originated from China , which has disputed Viet Nam ’s sovereignty over the territory.

Earlier, architects at home and abroad submitted entries to a design competition for a future Hoang Sa Exhibit House, which will be built at Da Nang’s Hoang Sa road.

Ten out of the forty-three entries will be selected for awards, and will be publicised on the website of Hoang Sa district at hoangsa.danang.gov.vn for comment.-VNA
