EuroCham launches Whitebook 2014
VGP – The European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) on Monday in Ha Noi launched its edition of the Whitebook of Trade/Investment Issues and Recommendations (Whitebook 2014).
The book consists of eight chapters on interdisciplinary issues and 13 chapters on each area including automobile enterprises, finance-banking, energy, food, agriculture and aquaculture, personnel and training, IT, intellectual property rights, pharmacy, tax, tourism, restaurant, hotel, post and transport, beverage.
Generally, European businesses highly valued the relations and close coordination between the Vietnamese Government and EuroCham.
They acknowledged that Vietnamese competent agencies started making positive changes in such areas as tax preference, human power and responsible tourism. However, there were some deep concerns over closer cooperation between the Government and the private sector.
Via the Whitebook 2014, EuroCham expressed aspirations to shake hands with the Vietnamese Government to achieve such common goals as promoting foreign investment in Viet Nam; accelerating growth rates; generating more new jobs for Vietnamese people and positively altering social and environmental issues. /.
