The event aims to bring together policymakers, business leaders, and innovators to transform climate ambitions into concrete actions.

Details of the forum were announced at a press conference held in Ha Noi on November 6. Speaking at the event, EuroCham Chairman Bruno Jaspaert remarked: "I may not yet represent the largest investor bloc in Viet Nam, but I represent one that invests with purpose. European investment focuses on sectors that truly advance sustainable development – those that matter not only for today's growth but for generations to come.

As demonstrated by EuroCham's Green Business of the Year Awards last week, sustainability is not the domain of large corporations alone. Many SMEs are also growing from green roots, driving innovation for a more sustainable future for all."

He noted that frameworks such as the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP) and the Global Gateway are deepening the alignment between environmental and economic objectives of the EU and Viet Nam.

Echoing his view, EU Ambassador to Viet Nam Julien Guerrier stated: "As seen at the Global Gateway Forum in Brussels last month, the JETP continues to deliver tangible EU financial commitments for energy transition projects. This was highlighted by the signing of a EUR 430 million JETP financial package between Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and EU Commissioner for International Partnerships Jozef Síkela."

"In a time of global uncertainty, partnerships like the one between the EU and Viet Nam are more vital than ever. I am confident that in the years to come, our cooperation will continue to deepen, bringing real benefits to our businesses, our people, and most importantly, our planet," he added.

Focusing on practical dialogue and high-level discussions, GEF 2025 will feature nine conference sessions on Viet Nam's sustainability priorities, three interactive workshops co-hosted by European bilateral business associations, one keynote address by a global thought leader in the green economy, and a networking evening to foster long-term partnerships.

Each session aims to connect the EU's Green Deal and Global Gateway vision with Viet Nam's development context—turning strategies into solutions that bridge policy with investment, and ambition with implementation./.
