The Bình Sơn Refining and Petrochemical Company, an affiliate of PetroVietnam, is appointed to directly run the refinery.

According to the company’s General Director Nguyễn Hoài Giang, the refinery is operating at its full capacity, turning out quality products. The company’s key missions currently are to ensure the safe and stable operation of the refinery, and connect it with a polypropylene production project.

One hundred and forty one foreign engineers and experts are mobilized for the operation of the refinery in the first two years, Mr. Giang said.

The refinery will start churning out Jet A1 petroleum for aircraft in June, he added.
